Our GTK sessions let you Get To Know the dance, our instructors, and the Baza vibe! No dance experience is needed—these workshops are perfect for beginners in Latin social dancing and a great intro to our courses. Open to all ages and skill levels, with no partner required as we rotate partners throughout the session.

Bachata music and dance originated from the Dominican Republic and has its roots in Merengue, Bolero, and Cuban Son. At Baza Dance Studios, we have our own special flavour of Bachata classes - from our Beginner Intro course that starts you with the essentials of Bachata Moderna ("Modern Bachata") through to our higher levels that explore both Bachata Fusion and Bachata Sensual styles, we truly support students wishing to explore all aspects of social Bachata dancing.
Salsa is an Afro-Latin social dance with its roots from Central and South America; mainly Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. Salsa literally means "sauce" and the dance was given that name because its roots come from a mix of Afro-Latin traditional partner dances such as Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, Son, Guaracha, and Boogaloo. Modern day Salsa dancing in the world today is most recognizable in its three main styles: Casino (Salsa Cubano), L.A. "On1" style, and New York "On2/Mambo" style.
